Revolutionising the mining gumboot in South Africa

The isiZulu translation of the folk-song 'Shosholoza' means to push forward, endeavour or strive. In 2005 Neptun Boot, set out to revolutionise the mining footwear industry with the creation of the Shosholoza gumboot. Historically, mining footwear in South Africa had been manufactured to European specifications, but new research conducted locally has facilitated the development of a unique gumboot suitable for local conditions.
